The safety latch on the gate to the park looks like it got broken. The parts are all there but they probably can't be re-used.

Issue Closed
The City has received a federal grant to design pedestrian improvements on Capital Boulevard between Spring Forest Road and Old Wake Forest Road. While a pedestrian bridge is not in the scope of the project, we will be filling in all of the missing sidewalk gaps and installing pedestrian signals and crosswalks at the intersections. This project is currently only funded through design, but we hope to pursue construction funds in the future.

We are still working through a contract to repair sidewalks damaged in the tornado last year. I will make sure the Public Works Department is aware of this problem, and they will put it on the repair list if it is not there already.
